We will be providing paratransit service to certified individuals within the city limits of Auburn and Opelika. However, if the demand becomes too great for us to provide service to those individuals who live within 3/4 mile of the fixed route, as required by ADA, then we will have to start providing service to those within the city limits, but outside the 3/4 mile, on a first-come, first-serve basis.
LRTP DEMAND RESPONSE SERVICE
The area in Lee County which is outside the city limits of Auburn and Opelika has been divided into three zones. Please call for information on which zone you might be located in - 334-749-9092.
Those individuals who live in the East and South zones will be provided service on Tuesday and Thursday only each week.
Those who live in the West zone will be provided service only on Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week.
Individuals using this service need to be ready to be picked up at 9:00 a.m. because we will be picking up everyone who schedules in a given area between 9:00 and 10:30 and then will begin dropping off in town.
Drivers will return beginning at 2:30 each afternoon to pickup individuals and return them to their homes. If you plan to go somewhere else between your drop off and pickup, you will need to tell us that when you call to schedule your ride.
